I find this book "Letter from a Desperate Father" a highly emotional one. The story runs through a letter written by a father who has been accused of attempted murder and all he wants is his son. The story includes suspense flowing along with the touch of mystery from the very beginning of this tale.Think of you as a innocent farmer. You have lost your wife recently. What is the feeling that you would get if the only person you have in your life is your son and you know that sooner you are going to miss him as well.....?
I am sure that any reader will be drawn in to an emotional river flow by reading this book. The tale is linked with exorcism practices as well and yet the poor old man looks for a highly practical solution.
I really enjoyed this short reading.

I would love it if Maron Anrow expanded on this story further. "Letter from a Desperate Father" explains the devastated father's grief, after losing his wife, and then dealing with the change in his son. The themes in this short story would make a compelling full length novel.

Simply put, I loved this story. The only thing that could make it better is developing the topic into a full length novel!
Letter from a Desperate Father is in the format of a letter (as you probably gathered) and is sent from a man who only wants to see his son again as he is awaiting the verdict of his attempted murder trial. It isn't as simple as that, however, and the supernatural aspects that were integrated in were a nice surprise.
I won't go into too much detail (especially because you can read it yourself in a very short amount of time) but I will say this I love the themes that are implicated in this story. It has the potential to be so much more and the themes of the limits of love and the mystery of where the MC's wife is from certainly provide enough material.
The Final Verdict
Ms. Anrow's writing is simply stunning and flows quite nicely, building in tension towards the end.

A well-crafted short story by one of my favorite independent authors. If only the story is longer! I'd love to find out more about what happened to the protagonist.
This story was short, which isn't a huge problem if it's a good story, but it doesn't have an actual conclusion. Don't waste your time.
Letter from a Desperate Man is a short book that is in the format of a man whose last wish is to see his son before his murder trial is finished. His letter introduces us to his wife and son, where he gives back story to their family life. Something is just not quite right. Read his letter to find out what mystery is attached to his wife and son. You will be very entertained reading this book, just as I was.
This letter will lead you on an emotional journey where you will find yourself attached to our main character and hoping for the best. I think this was a great book and a must read.
